Chevening Scholarships is a fully funded scholarship that allows a student to study for his/her Master's degree in the UK. Through this scholarship, students can study at any university in the UK for one year. Chevening Scholarships is a great choice for students as it is a fully funded scholarship.
This scholarship covers all the costs, including flight expenses, accommodation expenses, and course expenses. This allows the student to completely focus on his/her studies. The student will stay and study in the UK for a year until he/she completes his/her education. Students will build connections and improve their network in the UK.
Chevening Scholarships Eligibility:
Let's discuss all the requirements for the Chevening Scholarship:
- Anyone can apply regardless of age or any other factors
- Submitting an application that demonstrates your capability to study for a one-year Master's degree in the UK.
- Be a citizen of Chevening eligible country or territory.
- After completing your scholarship, return to your home country for at least two years.
- To years of work experience is needed ( 4,800 hours )
- Complete an Undergraduate degree to become eligible for a Master's degree in UK.
- Should have applied to three different universities.
- Receive an offer from at least one university.
Not Eligible for Chevening Scholarship :
- If you fall under dual British citizenship or hold British citizenship, then you are not eligible for the Chevening Scholarship.
- ( except if you hold a British Overseas citizenship or BN(O) and apply from Hong Kong.)
- Holding a refugee status in the country.
- (exception, if you have citizenship in an eligible country and hold refugee status in another country.)
- Completed their study through UK government funded scholarship.
- If you work as an employee / relative of any employee working for:
- UK government
- British Embassy High Commissions
- British Council Commonwealth
- Universities Association
- UK universities that are sponsoring Chevening Partner Organization
Note :
- He/She cannot receive Chevening Partner Award if the employment took place in the last two years. Regardless of their relationship with the employee.
- if you already hold a master's degree,then you can also apply for second master's degree. There are no restrictions.
Work experience requirement :
- Voluntary Work
- Full-time
- Part-time
- Internships ( Paid or Unpaid )
Note :
- The experience gained by the candidate during their work for completion of degree is not counted.
- Candidate may combine up-to 15 different employment opportunities where he/she have worked before to complete the requirement.

What does a Chevening Scholarship cover?
- Complete Tuition Fee
- Economy class flight from your country through approved route specially for you.
- Allowance received on arrival.
- Visa application cost
- Allowance for Departure
- Allowance for Travel
- Allowance for personal living, as a stipend. This allowance is subject to change and annual check depending on the staying location of the candidate. Whether inside London or outside London.
